Since 2007 I've been choosing a word each year to focus on.
I chose the word breathe in 2008 and as I've been trying to decide on a new word this week, I kept going back to that word. So breathe it is.
In the last couple of health classes I've taken, I have realized just how stressed out and tense I have become. At the beginning of my current class, Stress Management, I scored in the range that indicates I'm at a higher risk for heart problems. Something has to change.
It's been interesting to have to try different stress management techniques and honestly, the one that I need to work on the most is breathing deeply.
So my intention for 2014 is to...
Slow down.
Let go.
Breathe.
That's a great idea! Love you and hope you have a calm year!

Hi Jill. An excellent word to focus on! My daughter, Georgiann, is finishing up her Masters in Social Work and she told me that they had a guest speaker in one of her classes and her talk was all about breathing. We forget to breath slow and deep. Here's to a New Year of breathing!
